Super Su Pollard shines on ITV Meridian News

25 September 2023 Bournemouth, UK: Ahead of this year’s panto for the Bournemouth Pavilion’s festive pantomime ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’, cast star Su Pollard was invited to tell all at ITV Meridian’s studios.

Coverage aired Thursday evening 21 September with Su having a fantastic interview with ITV Meridian presenters Matt Teale and Stacey Poole.  Discussing the magic of panto and reminiscing about ‘Hi-de-Hi’, the show that kick started her career in the 1980s.

Su said, “I love the buzz of television, but my first love is always the stage, and I am really looking forward to stepping out in one of my all-time favourite venues, the Bournemouth Pavilion for this year’s panto – thanks for having me ITV Meridian it was great fun!”

Playing Wicked Queen, Su leads a fantastic cast with Noel Brodie, who is returning for his 9th hilarious season and this year, playing the role of ‘Muddles’; with Jamie Steen as ‘Dame Dilly Donut’, ‘Snow White’ played by Jenny Huxley-Golden and Jake Hankey as ‘The Prince.’

Bournemouth Pavilion is run by registered charity BH Live, in partnership with BCP Council.  Steve Turner, BH Live’s Associate Director of Venues added: It’s great to secure support for the panto, especially with a legend like Su heading up the cast. We hope to welcome everyone in the region to what promises to be a fantastic, magical, festive panto experience!”
