Talbot Village Trust has recently donated £9,000 to the Springbourne Christian Centre for the overall renovation of the community hall.
BH1 Elim Church (formerly Springbourne Christian Centre) is part of Elim Pentecostal Churches UK and is located in the heart of Bournemouth. The Centre provides a welcoming atmosphere of fellowship for the community. The charity operates an open-door policy for everyone in the local community and was keen to create a space to reflect these ideals.
The donation from Talbot Village Trust funded the renovation of the Centre, which included new windows, doors and flooring, new decoration, curtains and a new door to allow for disabled access. This work has changed the community hall from a rundown and unwelcoming place to a clean, inviting and modern facility that is available to many different community groups.
