A Dorset Christmas at The Tank Museum

Get festive at The Tank Museum with fun-filled days of shopping, live entertainment, and a visit from Santa in his tank, 18-19 November 2023.

In partnership with Dorset Team, Dorset-based designer-makers and sellers on Etsy, there will be over fifty stalls selling high quality gifts and stocking fillers that will delight family and friends.

Tank Museum Events Manager, Tom Holmes, said, “A Dorset Christmas brings together independent, local craft enthusiasts with Dorset’s biggest day out.

“Santa will be driving home for Christmas in his tank, and children can ask him questions in a special Q&A. Follow ‘Frank on the Tank’ Elf Trail around the Museum, dress up and get hands-on with the interactive displays.”

Visitors will be able to relax with mince pies and a Christmas dinner in the onsite restaurant and café, whilst enjoying live piano performances and vintage music from The Land Girls and the Mellor sisters. Take the chance to bop alongside dance troupe Jitterbug Jive, or sit back and listen to traditional tunes from Wareham Town Band.

There will also be an opportunity to take a step back in time and see moving cards sent by tank crews to their families that tell the story of a Christmas spent at war.

Annual passes and memberships are valid for this event, and all tickets include free returns for a year. The first 50 visitors every day will receive a free goody bag.
